It is good to know that there are states where the citizens are thwartingWard Connerly’s efforts. What Mr. Connerly has never understood is that White affirmative action has always existed, thereby denying the possibility of a level playing field. He also fails to understand that the affirmative action laws has been extremely beneficial to White women.

I think the folks in Oklahoma didn’t sign the petition because they realized that Affirmative Action isn’t too much different from the way the football and basketball players are recruited for the cherished OU athletic programs. If Connerly’s measure were to pass, it wouldn’t be too hard to pass another resolution basing admission soley on grades and test scores…if that happened, OU would never win another championship.

  3. Gerald Layne Says:

I did read surrender, just fall back and return with energy to secure the victory. The problem with Affirmative Action in a “Global Market” is this, the best and brightest don’t need it. Live up and beyond expectations and you win. Affirmative Action has been the biggest knife in the back of Black men since it first existed. 75% unfathered black households and 85% of homeless men are black men.
