The president of the North Dakota Board of Higher Education says the membership of a 16-member committee searching for a new University of North Dakota president will not be changed, despite a request that an American Indian be added.http://diverseeducation.com/artman/publish/article_7808.shtml

    Paulsen\’s response is interesting. Too bad he missed the point (inclusion) as well as an opportunity to demonstrate a real committment to diversity.

    This decision is just one more slap in the face for the Native Americans who have/do/will attend UND. I believe the panel should include someone who can ask the pertinent questions concerning Native Americans and how the new president can help this group feel more welcome at UND
