I hope most people of color knew what to expect from the Supreme Courts. The KKK with black robes.

The decision by the US Supreme Court is not at all strange when taking into account the actions of the Court since the retirement of Chief Justice Berger and the ensuing appointments of Associate Justices whose politics led to legal decisions resulting in the lost of gains of the Civil Rights movement. The action of persons who use methods and name their organizations to speak of “turning back the clock of justice” for the purpoe of law absent of justice has been made quite relevant. The last two appointments and the fear manifested by those who opposed these appointments, is being made quite apparent by their voting. Chief Justice Roberts and Associate Justice Alito are merely carrying out their agendas, and the persons who will ultimately be effected are the very youth whom they claim to “save.” The words of Chief Justice Roberts will be immortalized in history, “the way to STOP discrimination on the basis of race is to STOP discriminating on the basis of race,” and for those who support the decisions of the Chief Justice’s words will find themselves continually in a conundrum! This day will only be another day of infamy in the historical record of the American Dilemma!

I am a online student and I recently had a conversation with my boss about online degree where he stated there is a bias amongst professionals with academic honesty when taking online courses. I explained to him, being someone who has been in traditional classroom setting and online student will debate with anyone that online learning is a far more rigorous and displined form of education than sitting in a traditional classroom. My boss questioned the academic integrity involved and due to the amount of work given in online courses, it will take a fool or someone getting paid a lot of money to be successful at keeping up with the demands of what the courses assign for work. I have debated this issue through local blogs and general conversation in work environments. Many traditional students who have not taken online courses seem to be the main people bias of this form of education. One of my major arguments involving online is, 80% of learning is done outside the classroom and 20% is done in the classroom through lecture and in class testing. I will say based on my experience with online I will continue to divide my education up between the two because being a full time employee, mother of a young child, I need the variety and I think the positive thing about online education and schools that offer online and traditional studies is it allows students to have options with what works best for the student, especially non-traditional students like myself. After my experience with online, I think this will be more beneficial for students who already have professional experience in the area they are trying to learn especially for professionals going to earn their Master degree versus students coming right out of high school seeking a four year college degree. Academic integrity can happen in any school of higher learning. As my boss stated, “he allowed his brother to take the entrance exam for him, stating he failed it the first time.” I will think it to be challenging to have someone do all your course work online and get a good grade, no different than having a student sit in for you in larger university settings or use texting and other forms of cheating methods to get the grade. In closing, we are living in a technological and global environment where computer conferences are more common. I support online education which utilizes independent working skills. Online education from accredited degree programs for those individuals who fit the profile for online learning should be more respected. Online learning is not for everyone as traditional classrooms are not for everyone. Many colleges and universities are using online courses to not only educate local students, but allow students from other states have the availability to attend their schools, this includes minorities and non-traditional students 30+ who may not have the time to attend classes. More universities and colleges are using online education to serve students. I think it should be individual choice and not social bias. For those who express their bias for online should take an online course to support their argument before making an argument.
