A Course For Affirmative Action Professionals
The attacks on affirmative action over the last decade have not stopped a prestigious New York Ivy League institution from offering a popular educational program geared towards professionals already working in the affirmative action arena.

Very glad to see that someone is looking out for the best interest of our Native American youth. There are alot of very good “Indian” Basketball players on our resevations that do not get seen by college recruits and now they will be seen. My daughter Darisa Swank will only be a soph. in high school at Lame Deer High in Lame Deer, Mt. She has been a starter since the sixth grade, many people tell I and my wife how good she is, keep her on track with sports and to stay away from drugs and alcohol, we are doing that by supporting her and encouraging her to attend as many BB tournaments as she possibly can. Most recently she went to Ft. Hall Idaho played with a team from the Windriver Reservation in Wyo. and placed first. Also to Yakima Wash. played with a Crow Reservation team from Mt. and also placed first. Now she is playing with her local Gym Rats team in the NABI Tournament. So yeah, I hope she will get some recognition from this event and that she will be seen by college scouts in the years to come as she continues to play high school ball. Very proud of you my girl, keep it up and remember what I always tell you and your brothers… “let sports be your high”. Love DAD

I’am a 33 year old indian who is very interested in the NABI. I was a adpoted out from my tribe and re-united w/them in 05′. I have played basketball my whole life.I played two years of junior college ball and was scouted to play over in Europe. I suffered a injury wich hampered my play.I would be very interested in coaching, scouting etc. I also grew up with a NBA superstar. I have seen elite talent at a very young age.I would love to have the opportunity to promote a native to the next level.

This is a fantastic letter! I agree that REZ ball has its own life. I have been a avid supporter of our young athletes from the beginning to the end of the ball season. It keeps our kids in school and connects them with other tribes and communities. It is a driving force to family participation, whether it is fundraising, transporting or cheering for our youth. Continue to pursue equal representation for our kids, I can say that many in our community have dreams of playing in NCAA….best wishes to you.
