Interim Mississippi Valley State U. Leader Named

JACKSON, Miss.
Veteran administrator Roy C. Hudson on Monday was named interim president of Mississippi Valley State University.

    Congratulations to Dr. Hudson. As for Dr. Newman, much of the criticism of him should be directed towards the search committee or whoever is responsible for electing him to serve as President of the University. Assuming that the accusations are accurate, there should have been some indication from his previous jobs that he is a poor manager who also is too much of a micro-manager.

    Poor leaders (or good ones) are not created over-night and this suggests that if Dr. Newman is as bad as reported, then someone should have noted this during the selection process.
