UC-Berkeley Study: Half of Black Employees in Low-Wage Jobs

The unemployment crisis in the Black community has been well documented. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in July that the Black unemployment rate was 8 percent, nearly twice the rate for Whites.http://diverseeducation.com/artman/publish/article_9222.shtml

    It seems that all the approaches suggested in the later part of this article to fix the problem are socialistic. The real solution of job preparedness/training is dimissed. Because of that the problem will persist.

    If the situation is even worse for Latinos (over 60% in low paying jobs), then why is the focus of the article on blacks?
