Racial Disparities in Health Care Headlines UVA Symposium

A nine-member panel discussion on HIV/AIDS by community activists and health care providers last week ended the three-day Symposium on Race and Society hosted by the University of Virginia Health System designed to call attention to the issue of health disparities in the United States.

These types of symposiums are very much needed.
Although there has been some increase of those presenting themselves to know their status,the follow through to treatment for those testing positive has a long way to go.
Ostracism is a much big hurdle.

We can drone on about problems for eternity but nothing will come of it. Another three day seminar wasted on stating the obvious without putting a plan in action.
