I commend President Ammons for his concern regarding black males. Young males at all levels (kindergarten through graduate school) can benefit from faculty who understand the importance of respecting and supporting students who must fight the odds to achieve. President Ammons’ statements reflect the kind of leadership that can inspire others to do what they can where they can to assist these students.
