DOVER, Del.
In music and words, the Delaware State University community on Thursday honored a student mortally wounded in a campus shooting, but the most striking words may have come from the victim herself.

Sharlita is the Angel that God sent to heal the sin sick souls. Thank God for her. Today is the first day of the rest of you college students lives. Pick up where Sharlita left off and each one of you reach another student and pull them toward the greatness that they have been created to be. My heart and prayers goes out to her family and the DSU community. Pain and suffering had her in a cage so God came down and set her free. Her story will be written!

The article is a very accurate and unbiased assessment of the memorial service.

Sharlita sounds like she was a special lady. Beautiful smile, big dreams, full of hope and overflowing with heart. God bless her for trying to intervene and bring peace to her campus. This incident is unbelieveable yet believeable and so overwhelmingly heartbreaking. I was speechless for a moment after reading it. I think many are speechless, but it doesn\’t mean our hearts are not aching for Sharlita or that our prayers are not constant for her family and friends. May God give peace to all who were hurt in this tragedy.
