If this “coalition” of Nashvillians is so powerful, then why do they have an organization whose last published 990 IRS form with under $13,000 worth of assets?

This African American Museum is a worthy undertaking but of the estimated $40 million that it will take to build the building the organizers have received $2 million in PLEDGES.

They need Fisk’s help in order to add value to this enterprise, but Fisk’s main objective is the cultivation of students, not fund raising for other projects.
