Minority-serving colleges and universities would lose some of last year’s hard-fought funding gains under President Bush’s proposed education budget plan for next year.

I think that it is unreasonable that the president would cut the funding available to these minority institutions at a time when it is so critical that members of these groups be able to pursue higher education opportunities to improve their standard of living and make greater contirubtions to society and to the nation as a whole.

This money that our government needs to recuperate can be easily recover by cuting some of billions of dollars that sent to Israel (30 billion/year) or any other country, including but not limited to Pakistan or Egypt. Our government should leave our beneficial programs alone, if indeed, the governmet cares for the American people. THANK YOU.
