House Committee Approves Increase in Pell Grant, New Funding For Black Colleges
The House education committee on Wednesday approved a higher education bill that would increase Pell Grants, cut lender subsidies and make wide-ranging changes to help low-income students and minority-serving colleges.

An increase in the Federal Pell Grant program will be a great opportunity for those students who are eligilbe. Financial Aid professionals have long awaited to communicate such an opportunity to students and families in order assist them with reducing their loan indebtedness. This is really great news.
