Connerly makes a good point that the campaigns of Obama and Clinton speak in stark contrast to the notion held by most liberals that Americans are racist and sexist. The way the bill was treated by the Nebraska legislature was plain wrong and unethical.

Put the ballot measure in front of voters in November and accept the outcome. That’s how democracy works regardless of what Nebraska democrats would have you think.

We as blacks still need affirmative action but it may need to be fslightly reformed. We need to have one set of affirmative action guidelines focused on black businesses/organizations, and another for non-minorities owned/operated organizations.

I have notice within black organizations such a HBCU where one department is operated by all black women. Would HR make an effort to investigate to make sure that was balance of qualified black men and women working in every department? Unknown…and was probably never a concern until now. This is where affirmative action can even the employment/work place between black men and women. I shouldn’t have to know someone within a black organization to say I am qualified to work as black man to work for a black organization.
